Description

Porcelain change tray, base covered in goatskin velvet. Decorations printed in silkscreen and laid by hand. 24 carat gold wire applied by hand with a brush. The Cheval d'Orient collection pays homage to Hermès' equestrian origins and evokes the silk caravans and conviviality of the East, drawing inspiration from Persian miniatures of the 15th and 16th centuries. It is based on technical skills: the use of 29 colors on specific decorations for each of the 55 references for lunch, dinner, tea/coffee and decorative objects. Cheval d'Orient revisits the shapes and sizes of the great classics of the Western table: cup on a pedestal or tureen with elegant open handles.
